Job Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees daily operations and leads a team of Production Leaders and line personnel within a fast-pacedliquid product manufacturing environment, specifically for sauces. This role is critical for ensuring the consistent achievement of production targets while strictly adhering to safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The supervisor is responsible for upholding rigorous hygiene, food safety, and quality control measures throughout the sauce production process.

Working hour:

training period=Day shift, after training period Evening shift (3pm-12:30am)

Key Responsibilities

1.Production Oversight & Process Control:

oMaintain a constant presence on the liquid manufacturing floor, actively monitoring all stages from ingredient blending and preparation to filling, packaging, and palletizing to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation.

oContinuously monitor the manufacturing process to guarantee strict adherence to all internal specifications, recipes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This includes ensuring the consistent production of uniform, high-quality sauce products.

o Develop and manage daily production schedules, allocate resources, and make real-time adjustments to meet output goals.

o Perform equipment setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting, escalating complex issues to maintenance as needed.

o Analyze production data, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency and reduce waste. Recording Daily Manufacturing Processes (from Liquid Production to Filling Operations)

2.Food Safety & Quality Assurance:

oPossess in-depth knowledge of food safety principles (HACCP, GMP, SQF, etc.) and continuously monitor the overall production flow to proactively identify and prevent potential hazards or incidents.

o Ensure all team members strictly follow food safety regulations, quality control measures, and sanitation protocols.

o Conduct regular quality checks on in-process and finished sauce products, ensuring compliance with sensory, chemical, and physical specifications.

o Lead and enforce allergen control procedures and foreign material prevention strategies.

o Investigate and document any quality deviations or food safety concerns, implementing immediate corrective actions and reporting to management.

3.Team Leadership & Development:

o Provide strong, effective leadership to a team of Production Leaders and line operators, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

o Schedule, assign tasks, and manage employee performance, providing regular feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action when necessary.

o Conduct training for new hires and ongoing development for existing staff on SOPs, safety protocols, and quality standards.

o Promote teamwork and open communication within the production team.

4.Communication & Collaboration:

oDemonstrate excellent communication skills, effectively conveying information, instructions, and expectations to subordinates, and providing clear, concise reports and updates to senior management.

o Collaborate with other departments, including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Warehousing, and R&D, to resolve issues and improve cross-functional processes.

o Actively participate in daily production meetings and contribute to problem-solving initiatives.

5.Safety & Continuous Improvement:

o Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all team members adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safe work practices.

o Identify and mitigate workplace hazards, conducting regular safety audits and accident investigations.

Promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field ; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of progressive supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis onliquid food products (e.g., sauces, beverages, dressings).
  • Demonstrated expertise in HACCP, GMP, and other food safety systems (SQF, BRC ).
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams in a dynamic setting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of implementing process improvements.
  • Proficiency in using Production Management Systems (ERP/MES) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays, as production demands require.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various environmental conditions common in food manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
