Job description

Join to apply for the Food Production Supervisor role at Mission Foods.

Our Mission Foods facility in Olympic, CA is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the production department. The supervisor will direct, plan, control, and monitor operations, providing leadership to a team of up to 35 employees.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure processing activities conform to product specifications and GMP standards.
  • Verify and control production parameters within budget.
  • Act as liaison between Department Managers and hourly employees.
  • Schedule work assignments, vacations, and days off.
  • Verify labor hours and payroll accuracy.
  • Assess training needs, conduct training, and document it.
  • Conduct monthly safety and quality sessions, maintaining records.
  • Resolve team conflicts, document disciplinary actions and recognitions.
  • Set and pursue goals for continuous improvement.
  • Enforce safety policies and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing production experience, with bakery or food/beverage manufacturing preferred.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role or 4 years as a production lead.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proven leadership in manufacturing environments.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Experience with regulatory inspections (AIB, OSHA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems, GMP, LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Comfortable working in diverse, international settings.
  • Ability to perform simple analysis.
  • Familiarity with SAP & Kronos preferred.
  • Physical ability to walk long distances, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Flexible working hours, including holidays and weekends.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Shift: 2nd

Salary Range: $78,000 - $81,000 + $3,000 annual bonus
