Job summary

Lakeside Foods Inc. seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead the production shift teams in Owatonna, MN. You will ensure safe, efficient operations and uphold food safety standards while supporting maintenance, training, and process improvements.

You will supervise staff, enforce safety policies, and collaborate with HR and management to drive continuous improvement across the plant and ensure timely, accurate records and compliance with company procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of identified variables in situations with limited standardization
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Through individual and team efforts, work toward continuous improvement and demonstrate Lakeside's Standards of Conduct

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct work of all production shift employees to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Lead production personnel by example in personal and food safety; correct unsafe acts with HR support.
• Coordinate with sanitation supervisor to keep equipment and areas clean for next shift.
• Train employees and ensure HACCP program compliance; monitor and promote food safety.
• Maintain open communication with management and employees; ensure records are accurate and maintained.
• Assist maintenance and management in capital projects and maintenance planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Manager and enforce all Lakeside Policies.
