Job summary

{{Tier1usa}} is seeking a hands-on line leader to oversee shift start-up, line runs, and end-of-day closing in a food production facility in Florida. You will ensure correct materials and labels, maintain VPS-driven production targets, and uphold GMP/USDA requirements.

You will guide and train leads, support floor balancing, and maintain strict safety and hygiene practices. The role requires strong English communication, ability to work in a cold environment, and willingness to work early

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work around moving equipment (trays, carts).
  • Must serve as a Role model and leader in the department.
  • Good communication skills – Speak, Read and Write English.
  • Must be able to stand/walk/bend.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment (38–40°F) for up to 8–10 hours with insulated clothing.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the setup and execution of all line runs, including opening and closing duties.
  • Ensure correct materials are set up and the picker queues the correct PDL and labels for each run.
  • Verify quantities of SKUs produced and adherence to VPS throughout the day.
  • Support GMP and BRC compliance on the floor and ensure safety standards are followed.
  • Ensure line work is completed to quality and efficiency standards.
  • Assist PCC in balancing floor teams and cover lead roles as needed.
  • Leads must be trained on all positions and adhere to USDA, FDA, GMP standards.

Description
DESCRIPTION OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Overseeing the set up and execution of all line runs, inclusive of the opening responsibilities at the beginning of the shift and the closing of the room at the end of the day.
  • Ensure all the correct materials are set up by the runner and that the picker queues the correct PDL and ingredient labels for each run.
  • Ensure the correct quantities of each of the sku’s are being produced and that we are following the VPS’s throughout the day.
  • Support the execution that the fundamentals are being followed on the floor so we remain compliant on BRC standards as well as follow up on GMP compliance.
  • Ensure work assigned to their line is completed based on quality standards and within the efficiency standards set for each line run.
  • Support the PCC in moving people around the floor to ensure we have balance on all lines and at times are working leads.
  • Leads are trained on all positions, which they fill as needed to cover open spots, while still maintaining the level of responsibility on their lines.
  • Leads must adhere to USDA, FDA, GMP company standards, and ensure employees are following all rules and regulations. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.
JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be able to work around moving equipment (trays, carts)
  • Must be able to follow and enforce specific customer standards and requirements.
  • Must serve as a Role model and leader in the department.
  • Good communication skills – Speak, Read and Write English
  • Must be able to stand/walk/bend
  • Must have the ability to work in a cold environment with a constant 38 – 40 degree temperature for up to 8-10 hours a day with appropriate insulated clothing
  • Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment up to 8-10 hours a day
  • Must apply effective Food Hygiene practices.
  • Must have good organizational skills and adaptable to frequent changes
  • Must have the ability to apply safety and sanitation standards
  • Must have the ability to use knife, cutting board, mobile shelving, carts, meat slicer, and related industrial kitchen equipment
  • Must be flexible to work early morning shift, weekends and holidays (subject to change due to shift bidding)
