Job summary

Hormel Foods in Alma, KS seeks meticulous General Production Laborers for 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 2:30PM–10:30PM) with potential extended hours and weekend work.

You will support daily production operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, performing manual tasks, monitoring quality, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace in alignment with GMPs and OSHA standards. Safety and teamwork are core to our culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• No visa sponsorship required now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist with production line activities, including loading, sorting, and packaging products.
• Operate basic manufacturing equipment and tools as trained.
• Monitor product quality and report defects or concerns immediately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in line with GMPs and OSHA.
• Follow GMPs, safety procedures, and plant policies.
• Support sanitation tasks such as cleaning equipment, floors, and workstations.
• Perform routine material handling, including lifting, moving, and stacking products.
• Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor to keep operations efficient.
