Aerotek is seeking a Food Production Worker for a contract-to-hire role based in Faribault, MN. The position supports a fast-paced production line, focusing on palletizing, shrink-wrapping, and maintaining clean, safe workstations.

You will handle weighed products with digital scales, operate a manual pallet jack, and move items up to 50 pounds (with heavier items managed by two people). This is an onsite role requiring endurance and strict GMP adherence.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for 8–12 hours per shift.
• Ability to work safely and follow GMPs and safety rules.
• Comfort with lifting up to 50 pounds and moving heavier items with teams as required.

Responsibilities

• Palletize finished products and shrink wrap for storage and shipment.
• Clean and sanitize workstations regularly to maintain hygiene.
• Move products and materials using a manual pallet jack.
• Weigh products and record weights on a digital scale.
• Handle bags up to 50 pounds; two-person policy for heavier weights.
• Push and pull bowls of product on wheels up to 1,000 pounds; move at least eight bowls per shift.
• Follow safety procedures and GMPs; comply with facility rules on attire and PPE.
• Maintain proper clothing and PPE and ensure no damage or embellishments.
• Stand for 8–12 hours per shift in a physically demanding environment.
• Participate in on-site orientation and follow training schedules.

Job Title: Food Production Worker

Job Description

This role focuses on supporting a fast-paced production environment by palletizing and shrink-wrapping products, cleaning and sanitizing workstations, and handling materials using manual pallet jacks. You will weigh and record product information using digital scales, move filled bags weighing up to 50 pounds, and assist with moving larger bowls of product on wheels. The position is physically demanding and requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and good manufacturing practices, and the ability to work consistently throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Palletize finished products and securely shrink wrap them for storage and shipment.
• Clean and sanitize workstations regularly to maintain a safe and hygienic production environment.
• Move product and materials using a manual pallet jack, ensuring safe handling and proper placement.
• Weigh products before they are moved to the warehouse and accurately record digital weights on a small scale.
• Handle and move filled bags that can weigh up to 50 pounds, following company policy that requires two employees for weights over 50 pounds.
• Push and pull bowls of product on wheels that can weigh up to 1,000 pounds, moving at least eight bowls per shift.
• Follow all safety procedures and good manufacturing practices (GMPs), including restrictions on smoking, tobacco, perfume, cologne, fingernail polish, jewelry, and piercings in the facility.
• Maintain clothing and personal protective equipment in good condition, ensuring there are no rips, tears, holes, or added embellishments.
• Stand and work on your feet for 8 to 12 hours per shift in a physically demanding production environment.
• Participate in on-site orientation and follow instructions regarding shift start times and training schedules.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Faribault, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
