Job summary

Simmons Foods in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a line operator for the VBC - Line 4 - CAMA NS shift. You will learn, perform and rotate between packer, scaler, styler and grader roles to maintain line speeds.

This hands-on production position requires teamwork, adherence to LEAN processes and the ability to work in a cold, wet environment. Poultry or food processing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works on a moving conveyor belt using both hands.
• Spreads or styles product by hand on the belt.
• Performs multiple types of packing and weighing.
• Pulls bones from product; inspects, grades and removes product that does not meet standards.
• Participates as a member of the Team and supports team concepts, policies and coordination of work.
• Familiar with Simmons operating systems and LEAN; supports systems and communicates concerns to improve processes.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
