Job summary

Cozzini, LLC. is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to design, develop, and deliver custom food processing equipment and systems.

You will transform customer requirements into innovative solutions, supporting projects from concept through fabrication, assembly, testing, and installation. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in machine design, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD), and a solid grasp of sanitary design principles to improve production efficiency and food safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 3+ years designing machine, equipment, or industrial machinery.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD.
• Experience designing custom machinery or conveyor systems.
• Knowledge of sanitary design principles and stainless steel fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop food processing equipment and sanitary machinery using CAD and best practices.
• Create and maintain detailed drawings, assembly layouts, fabrication drawings, and BOMs.
• Ensure equipment design focuses on food safety, sanitation, durability, and efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance to fabrication and assembly teams.
• Collaborate with project managers and customers to develop customized solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, prototype testing, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor project schedules and milestones to support on-time completion.
