Job summary

Redner’s Markets, Inc. in Reading, PA is seeking a Food Processing Clerk to join our Central Cutting Facility team.

You will execute production, ensure proper processing, storage, and preparation for distribution following Redner’s standards and health regulations. You will perform sanitation, packaging, weight control, inventory support, and daily logkeeping while upholding safety policies, teamwork, and adherence to Food Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform duties in a cold room of 38F (delivery and storage environments).
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds (80% of the time) and occasionally up to 50 pounds (20% of the time).
• Must wear cut resistance gloves when using sharp tools.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Must have strong communication skills for dealing with guests and employees.
• Must have basic math skills for weighing and pricing products.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
• Interact professionally with other employees, guests and suppliers.
• Work effectively as a team contributor and coordinate work efforts within the team.
• Assist with sanitation, packaging, and rotation of products to maintain freshness.
• Maintain daily and weekly cleaning checklists for kitchen area/equipment.
