Job Description

The Food Prep Worker Lead assists cooks, chefs, or food service managers by preparing ingredients for recipes and performing food preparation and service tasks. The role involves preparing food according to recipes and guidelines while following food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures. Responsibilities may vary by location based on client needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the work of others without direct management responsibilities.
• Prepare various foods following production guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment.
• Measure, weigh, chop, and prepare ingredients.
• Use utensils safely, including knives.
• Garnish and portion food according to guidelines.
• Store food safely, adhering to safety policies.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment.
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies, ensuring security of assets.
