Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Food Prep Worker Lead to assist cooks and managers by preparing ingredients for recipes and ensuring production guidelines are followed. You will set up stations, measure and prepare ingredients, and maintain safety and sanitation standards.

This role requires leadership of a small team, adherence to food safety policies, accurate handling of knives, and strong customer service. Physical demands include standing, lifting, and PPE usage; uniforms may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in food prep or food service-related work preferred.
• Knowledge of various food prep methods, accurate knife handling, and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the work of others, without direct performance management responsibilities.
• Prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knifes
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
• Accurately stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets
