Sodexo is seeking a Food Prep Helper at SOUTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY to assist with preparation and serving of menus while keeping work areas clean and orderly.

You'll join a team that values reliability, adaptability, and friendly customer service, with varied shifts and a supportive benefits package. This role offers part- or full-time opportunities for students and staff in an on-site dining environment at the university.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of related food prep experience is beneficial.
• Willingness to work varying shifts and open availability.
• Able to read recipes and follow directions accurately.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Reads recipes and assists in the preparation of hot and cold foods using various kitchen utensils/equipment.
• Clean and sanitize work stations and production equipment.
• May have basic cooking responsibilities, such as vegetables or chicken for salads.
• Attends work and shows up on time for scheduled shifts.
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts per client needs.

Food Prep Helper

Location: SOUTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY - 54666001

Workdays/shifts: Varying shifts, days/hours (open availability preferred). More details will be provided during the interview process.

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Pay Range: $15 per hour - $17 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Food Prep Helper at Sodexo, you are a pair of helping hands and a good mood motivator. This role includes the preparation and serving of our vibrant menusand ensuring all working areas are kept clean and tidy. Your welcoming customer service puts a smile on people's faces and makes an impact in their everyday lives.

Responsibilities include:

• Reads recipes and/or product directions and assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods using a variety of kitchen utensils/equipment
• Clean and sanitize work stations and production equipment
• May have basic cooking responsibilities, i.e., cook vegetables, chicken for salads.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
