Job summary

Wet Willie's in Fresno is seeking a dedicated Food Preparer for day or swing shifts to support busy kitchen operations. You will check deliveries, rotate stock using FIFO, and help maintain a clean prep area.

The role requires following recipes, safeguarding food safety, coordinating with other departments, and assisting with purchasing and inventory while adhering to sanitation guidelines and menu changes.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of food preparation experience
• Must have a Food Service Sanitation Certificate
• Ability to follow established menus and recipes

Responsibilities

• Check in deliveries for temperature and quality to standards

Job description

We are currently seeking a Food Preparer in am or pm

Major responsibilities include:

• Check in all deliveries to make sure the temperature and quality are met to our standards
• Label and follow the FIFO method to keep all items rotated and used
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen area, including the prep area, storage and walk-in
• Assure that all recipes and food procedures are followed
• Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary
• Assist with the purchase and inventory of the food supply
• Follow all sanitation guidelines
• Become familiar with any new menu items/dishes
• Follow all break/ meal period policies

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required
• Experience with quantity food preparation preferred
• Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
• Knowledge of proper nutritional requirements
• Must have a Food Service Sanitation Certificate
