Job summary

The Simplot Company in Grand Forks, United States, is seeking a sanitation-focused role to maintain sanitary surfaces and processing equipment in a food-grade environment. You will follow SOPs, manage chemical logs, and transport chemicals safely within the facility.

Responsibilities include regular cleaning, documenting sanitizer tests, and participating in safety trainings. A high school diploma or GED is required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in challenging conditions is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand on concrete floors for long periods.
• Must be able to understand and apply basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to distinguish colors.
• Must be able to work in extreme environments: noise, hot, cold, wet and slick floors.
• Must be able to work with and around hazardous chemicals wearing appropriate PPE.
• Must have manual dexterity in both hands.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Keeps food surfaces and processing equipment in a sanitary condition.
• Transports chemicals by hand cart to and from the chemical room safely.
• Performs regular cleaning duties and maintains chemical logs.
• Assists with training to ensure proper sanitation practices.
• Maintains OSHA forklift certificates and participates in safety trainings.
• Interfaces with team members and other support groups in a collaborative manner.
