Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a sanitation associate for the GF Plant in Grand Forks, ND, to maintain sanitary conditions on surfaces and equipment in a food processing environment. This role requires adherence to safety rules and SOPs, and involvement in chemical handling and cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities include keeping records of chemical use, operating cleaning equipment, and supporting training to uphold sanitation standards across the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand on concrete floors for long periods.
• Must understand and apply basic math skills.
• Must work in confined spaces.
• Must distinguish colors.
• Must work in extreme environments: loud, hot, cold, wet."
• Must wear appropriate PPE when handling hazardous chemicals.
• Must have manual dexterity to operate valves, hoses, and heavy objects.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 450 lbs.
• Must climb stairs and ladders as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain food surfaces and processing areas in sanitary condition.
• Record chemical usage in Chemical Log.
• Transport chemicals safely to and from chemical room.
• Perform regular cleaning duties.
• Monitor foaming and sanitizing solution in central tank.
• Support training to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Maintain OSHA forklift certificates.
• Participate in training activities to enhance skills.
• Comply with company policies and interface with team members.
