Job summary

The Simplot Company in the United States is seeking a sanitation associate for the GF Plant in Grand Forks. You will maintain sanitary conditions on food surfaces and equipment, follow SOPs, and support safe chemical handling in a dynamic processing environment.

Responsibilities include cleaning, chemical logging, training support, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Strong physical ability and basic math skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand on concrete floors for long periods of time.
• Must understand and apply basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and distinguish colors.
• Must work in extreme environments: noise, hot, cold, wet and slick floors.
• Must work with hazardous chemicals using appropriate PPE.
• Must have manual dexterity in both hands.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull barrels up to 450 lbs with a rolling device.

Responsibilities

• Keep food surfaces and processing equipment clean and sanitary.
• Follow safe work practices and SOPs and company policies.
• Record chemical usage in the Chemical Log.
• Transport chemicals to and from the chemical room safely.
• Perform regular cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Test and document foaming and sanitizing solution levels.
• Assist with sanitation training for the team.
• Maintain OSHA forklift certificates and participate in training.
