Job summary

Classic Salads is seeking a Sanitation 1 employee to learn and practice cleaning and sanitation methods within the sanitation department. After orientation and safety training, you will assist the production department as needed.

You will follow GMP policies, operate sanitation equipment, and work in a cold environment while maintaining safety and cleanliness across production areas. This role requires flexibility for overtime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years experience in sanitation in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to follow simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Classic Salads Food Safety and GMP Policies.
• Complete Classic Salads Standard Sanitation Procedures (TRN-0400), CS-SOP-01, CS-SOP-6037
• Clean without direct supervision, areas inside/outside exposed product rooms away from product contact surfaces
• Perform all work according to company SSOP and master sanitation
• Clean with direct supervision from supervisor/manager on food contact surfaces and adjacent areas
• Operate chemical dispensing equipment, sanitation equipment, machinery controls and various tools
• Clean around outside company grounds (parking lots, back of plant, walls)
• Wear required PPE: bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, eye protection, face shield, gloves, slip resistant shoes, wet/rain suit, apron
• Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
• Able to work under pressure and time requirements
• Able to work in a cold/wet environment (34-36 °F)
• Use a pallet jack occasionally
• Report all injuries and incidents big or small to supervisor/manager.
