Job summary

Pure-Flavor in Fort Valley, GA is seeking a sanitation worker to operate cleaning equipment, sanitize facilities, and support food safety programs in our plant. The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a crew and to follow the Food Safety Coordinator’s instructions while upholding all safety guidelines.

You will perform routine cleaning, disinfect washrooms, stock supplies, complete GMP records, and assist with minor equipment tasks.

Qualifications

• WHMIS training required.
• Food safety knowledge and health & safety knowledge.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and PrimusGFS programs.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial vacuum cleaner and floor scrubber to remove dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
• Clean and sanitize lunchroom and washrooms.
• Wash windows and interior walls.
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
• Sweep, scrub and mop floors and stairs.
• Disinfect washrooms and fixtures.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Ensure security and safety measures are in place when leaving the facility.
• Stock supplies such as hand soap and paper towels.
• Complete GMP records of cleaning and sanitation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
