Job summary

Ellison is seeking a Sanitation Technician at our Fort Wayne facility to uphold sanitation standards that support safe, compliant production. You will execute cleaning per SSOPs, maintain records, and ensure the facility is always audit-ready.

The role requires leadership, independent work, and reliable communication with shifts and teams. It involves a 40-hour week with rotating shifts and occasional overtime, all in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership qualities; works independently; accountable and responsible.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers.
• Read and understand all production documents and SSOPs in English.
• Mechanically inclined; able to use basic hand tools.
• Knowledge of Windows software (Excel, Word) is preferred.
• Kleanz Software knowledge is preferred.
• Boom and scissor lift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule to ensure equipment and areas are cleaned regularly.
• Maintain an audit-ready facility meeting all food safety requirements.
• Clean production equipment according to SSOPs; maintain cleaning records.
• Ensure utensils, equipment and areas are clean and safe; dispose of waste properly.
• Report food safety and quality problems to management.
• Communicate relevant information to other shifts and employees.
