Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Sanitation Worker in Irvine, CA to maintain clean plant surfaces and equipment in a food manufacturing setting. You will follow GMP/SSOP, support food safety programs, and ensure safe use of cleaning chemicals throughout shifts.

Shift options include 1st (6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.) and 2nd (1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m.) with pay of $20.25/hr; safety, PPE, and PPE attire are required. Applicants should be dependable, able to lift moderate weights, and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience using cleaning equipment and chemicals in a production sanitation setting.
• Knowledge of GMP and SSOP guidelines and food safety practices.
• Experience in food manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Ability to lift 30–40 lbs regularly and handle physical demands.
• Read and interpret safety/Procedural documents in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all plant surfaces, equipment, restrooms, break rooms, and trash areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Follow GMP and SSOP procedures aligned with food safety and USDA pre-operational requirements.
• Follow Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and IIPP safety guidelines.
• Use, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals per protocols.
• Complete sanitation logs and cleaning schedules; assist pest control records.
