Job summary

Staff Management | SMX in Jackson, TN is hiring for Sanitation Associates to support our client's essential daily operations by maintaining clean and safe production floors, equipment, drains, and overhead areas in a food manufacturing facility.

Compensation includes weekly pay, medical/dental benefits, and a referral bonus. Shifts listed as 1st shift with possible temp-to-hire opportunities; pay rate is $19.75 per hour, with comprehensive benefits and advancement opportunities available.

Qualifications

Background check and drug test required.
Must be at least 18 years old.
No education requirement beyond legal eligibility.

Responsibilities

Complete the cleaning tasks on your daily sheet.
Sweep, scrub, and rinse production floors and around equipment.
Operate floor scrubbers and cleaning equipment after training.
Clean elevated surfaces, pipes, ducts, and light fixtures using ladders or lifts.
Maintain and sanitize drains, trenches, and grates.
Handle spills and waste; sort and remove trash and debris.
Receive and sort shipments; tag for delivery within the plant.
Distribute, label, and safely store cleaning chemicals; follow GMPs.
