Job summary

ABM is seeking a reliable sanitation technician for large food manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities include wet and dry cleaning of production lines, silos, and facilities areas, plus adherence to safety and food safety guidelines. Competitive benefits and medical coverage are provided.

Pay ranges from $19.66 to $20.66 per hour, with a shift starting 5:00am on Sun, Mon, Wed, and Fri. ABM is a veteran-friendly employer offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• Preferred: prior food plant sanitation or related experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of similar work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks based on ABM Sanitation Program.
• Follow all food safety and safety guidelines.
• Disassemble, clean/sanitize, and reassemble equipment.
• Clean equipment areas and perform periodic work.
• Sweep and mop offices, restrooms, and lunchrooms; maintain exterior areas.
• Maintain sanitation program with Master Cleaning Schedule.
• Ensure compliance with food laws and labeling requirements.
• Use appropriate cleaners and sanitizers for processing equipment.
• Conduct daily self-inspection to monitor sanitation issues.
• Inspect work before lead checks; report equipment problems.
• Follow Lock out Tag out safety procedures.
• Assist in training new employees; adapt to job changes.
• Promote safety; communicate safety and health matters.
• Work in confined spaces following protocols where applicable.
• Work in wet, humid, hot, and cold conditions; at heights.
• Learn to operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, and floor scrubbers.
• Flexible schedule; shifts may change; arrive on time for scheduled hours.
