Job summary

Steuben Foods Inc. in Elma, NY is seeking a Production Supervisor for 2nd shift to lead daily operations, ensure food safety and quality, and coordinate with palletizing and support teams. This role supports payroll, shift handoffs, and compliance with GMP/SOP standards.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma (Associate degree preferred) and have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• Associate Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for food safety and quality.
• Check emails and respond accordingly.
• Plan work and assign priorities with Lead Palletizers.
• Set up downtime and labor reports for shift information.
• Complete filler room audit reports (Weeklies/Daily/PEP).
• Work with Operators/PQIs on line clearances.
• Check packaging codes.
• Manage vacation requests and personal day requests.
• Ensure safety, GMPs, and SOPs are followed.
• Prepare spec sheets and ensure materials are available for next shift.
• Plan following days work and crewing for next shift.
• Complete run files.
• Interact with other support departments.
• Monitor productivity across shifts.
• Perform safety/GMP inspections monthly.
• Conduct Associates Reviews (45/90 days and annual) and write up corrective actions.
• Attend year-round meetings.
• Log payroll information daily and schedule for upcoming week.
• Carry out all other duties as assigned.

Education
