Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a maintenance technician to repair, replace and optimize production equipment. The role includes collaborating with engineers and vendors, performing project layouts and troubleshooting to ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently.

You will work as part of a team to implement Simmons’ operating systems and LEAN programs, while upholding safety, environment, and quality standards in a poultry/food processing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience or vocational training in welding, electrical or mechanical repair, and refrigeration or hydraulics.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Poultry or food processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace, or adjust equipment to meet production needs.
• Consult with engineers and vendors; perform project layouts and troubleshoot equipment.
• Support Simmons operating systems and LEAN principles; follow safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to improve operations and communicate issues promptly.
• Perform duties safely and handle physical requirements as needed (75–150 lbs, extreme temperatures).
