Job summary

Welch's is seeking a maintenance professional for our 24/7 manufacturing facility in Lawton, MI. This union position offers a pay rate of $29.22 per hour and requires strong hands-on maintenance skills across plant equipment and systems.

You will service production and processing equipment, refrigeration, boiler room, waste plant, and general building maintenance while ensuring compliance with sanitation and government regulations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical discipline related to machine maintenance and repair preferred.
• Journeyperson certification preferred.
• Minimum of four years related, applicable experience in food and beverage manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production and processing equipment, refrigeration, boiler room, waste plant, building maintenance, seasonal preparation, and gas wells.
• Develop familiarity with the maintenance requirements of plant processing, production and seasonal operations; coordinate with supervision.
• Recommend and initiate changes to improve equipment operating performance, perform job estimates, work scheduling and budget control.
• Ensure maintenance operations are carried out within housekeeping and sanitation procedures and applicable regulations.
• Participate in regular meetings as directed.
