Job summary

The Pictsweet Company in Bells, TN, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee equipment in the Repack department, ensuring reliable operation and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Lead maintenance staff, plan preventive programs, manage budgets, calibrations, and deadlines, and drive continuous improvement while complying with FDA, USDA, OSHA, and related regulations. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have practical understanding of mechanical operations, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical controls, and PLCs.
• Must be knowledgeable of food processing principles, quality control, HACCP, GMP, and associate management.
• Must be a proven leader with ability to organize and direct associates.
• Experience in preventive maintenance programs, normally five years in Industrial Maintenance or related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and food safety systems for production of quality products.
• Direct associates in maintenance and repair to optimize production performance.
• Design and improve preventive maintenance programs for longevity of plant equipment.
• Develop annual department budget and monitor operations to meet it.
• Coordinate calibration of metal detectors and ensure functionality.
• Communicate with plant supervision to resolve mechanical and logistical issues pro-actively.
• Maintain safe workplace and follow safety plans and standards.
• Other duties as assigned by Plant Management.
