Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking candidates for a first-shift packaging role. You will pack product, verify labels, and operate equipment in a fast-paced environment. Excellent adherence to safety, sanitation, and SQF standards is required.

Relates to heavy lifting, daily rotations, and occasional overtime. Relocation is not required; benefits begin Day 1 and training is provided to ensure accuracy and quality in production processes.

Responsibilities

• Check labeling and dating of product.
• Stack boxes weighing up to 30 lb on pallets when needed.
• Lift up to 30 lb to empty lugs.
• Lift tank covers up to 50 lb.
• Push/pull tanks up to 1,000 lb with equipment.
• Remove product from conveyor.
• Box #1 product within weight constraints and sort leakers.
• Move product to pans if the machine is down.
• Unload pans of meat back into the machine when possible.
• Feed sausage into Tiermat packaging machine.
• Check labeling and dating again.
• Setup and tear down all machines.
• Clean machines at shift end.
• Follow procedures for collection and processing tests.
• Open and rerun #1 product with misaligned label.
• Identify rework for final packaging.
• Perform basic math operations (add/sub/mul/div).
• Work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
• Complete paperwork and SAP functions as required.
• Comply with sanitation, safety, GMP and SQF.
• Perform all positions in job rotation.
• Perform any other work as assigned.
