Job summary

Tyson Foods in Forest, MS is seeking a Packer Labor team member to pack poultry products according to company specs and customer needs, while meeting food safety and quality standards. You will label, inspect, and prepare products for shipment, maintain GMP compliance, and work to keep a safe, efficient production line.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Experience with packing or production line work is beneficial.
• Compliance with GMPs and food safety standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Pack poultry products into trays, bags, boxes, or other containers according to specifications.
• Verify quality, appearance, quantity, and packaging requirements before packing.
• Apply labels and date codes to packaged products as required.
• Remove defective or improperly packaged items from the line.
• Maintain line speed while ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Stack and prepare packed products for palletizing and shipment.
• Follow all USDA regulations and company GMP policies.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and use PPE as required.
• Assist with line changeovers, cleanup, and other duties as assigned.
• Report equipment or product concerns to supervisors.
