Qualifications

  • Proven Leadership Experience: 2+ years as a supervisor in food production, manufacturing, distribution, or meal prep facilities.
  • Hands‑On Management Style: Comfortable being on the floor, directly engaging with staff, and resolving issues in real time.
  • Operational Expertise: Scheduling, inventory management, labor planning, and production flow.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in airline catering, meal kit production, or large‑scale food operations is strongly preferred.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with HACCP, OSHA, USDA, FDA, and allergen control protocols.
  • Union Experience: Supervising in a unionized environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with Purpose: Guide, motivate, and develop your team to meet and exceed performance goals (team includes leads and runners across hot/cold food prep).
  • Drive Production Excellence: Ensure meals are prepped, portioned, and assembled to gold standard specifications (FIFO, allergen control, HACCP, quality checks).
  • Innovate and Improve: Drive process enhancements, safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance (HACCP, OSHA, USDA, etc.).
  • Optimize Operations: Manage schedules, labor productivity, and costs in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Inspire Teamwork: Host daily team meetings to foster collaboration and alignment with safety goals.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with supervisors, production leads, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless operations.

  • Inspire Teamwork: Host daily team meetings to foster collaboration and keep everyone aligned with performance and safety goals.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with fellow supervisors, production leads, and warehouse teams (pick, pack, ship) to ensure seamless operations.
What We Look For in a Candidate
