Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinates personnel in the preparation and distribution of food and service.
  • Provides orientation and training to staff.
  • Responsible for implementing patient diet orders according to physicians' orders.

  • Provides input into Human Resources matters and effectively creates and maintains schedule for employees.
  • Serves as a resource to staff.
  • Preserves and protects patient's rights to confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Performs other job-related duties as required or requested.
  • Two-year (post secondary) degree in food/nutrition or equivalent on the job training with a demonstrated willingness to obtain additional knowledge in the field. Must be able to effectively direct and communicate with all Food & Nutrition personnel. Must be able to issue instructions concisely and interact effectively with other members of the hospital team.
