Job summary

Braden River Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Food and Nutrition Manager to oversee the department in our long-term care and skilled nursing setting. You will supervise cooks and aides, plan and present meals, and ensure nutritional needs and regulatory compliance are met.

Qualifications

• Assist the Food and Nutrition Manager with oversight of the Food and Nutrition Department.
• Assist with the preparation and presentation of food to Residents and Patients.
• Ensure meals meet the nutritional needs and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee Cooks and Aides to ensure the dietary program complies with regulations.

• Oversee daily kitchen operations in a long-term care facility.
• Coordinate with nursing and dietary staff on therapeutic diets.

Requirements:

• Assist the Food and Nutrition Manager with oversight of the Food and Nutrition Department in a long-term care and Skilled Nursing Center.
• Assist with the preparation and presentation of food to our Residents and Patients
• Ensure all meals meet the nutritional needs of our Residents and Patients
• Oversee the Departments Cooks and Aides to ensure the Dietary Program is in compliance with State and Federal Regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of (or current enrollment in) coursework approved by the Dietary Managers Association preferred.
• One (1) year supervised food service experience in an institutional setting with focus on planning, preparing and servicing regular and therapeutic diets required.
