A leading company in the food industry is seeking a Shipping Clerk in Chicago. Shift:Monday to Friday (some Saturdays), 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Job Summary
The Shipping Clerk is integral to our operations, responsible for the use of our ERP system, inspecting, and documenting all outgoing finished products and managing all shipping-related activities. This role ensures timely loading of finished goods, with precision to prevent order errors. The Shipping Clerk also stages finished goods in our warehouse rack system, playing a crucial role in our supply chain .
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Reviews and completes Bills of Ladings, and other shipping documentation, ensuring alignment with purchase orders and/or transfer orders.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to fingers; handle; and feel; reach with hands and arms; climb; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; and ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be willing and able to wear approved PPE as specified by GMP standards. The employees are regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places; extreme heat and cold. While the employee is performing regular duties, they are also exposed to possible risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
