Job summary

Schreiber Foods is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to optimize production processes across cross‑functional teams. You will drive continuous improvement, enhance yield, and reduce waste while upholding rigorous food safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with Maintenance, Reliability, Controls, and Data Science to implement data‑driven solutions, scale new products, and develop robust process control plans. This role requires travel up to 10% and a strong engineering foundation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or related field.
• 2–6 years of Engineering experience.
• Experience in food industry or related field is a plus.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, FDA) or ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify efficiency, productivity, and cost improvements.
• Design and implement improvements to enhance yield, reduce waste, and increase throughput while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Operations Excellence and Data Science to leverage data for process optimization.
• Scale up new products from concept to production and integrate into existing processes.
• Partner with Maintenance and Reliability Engineering to ensure uptime and implement predictive maintenance.
• Lead or assist in equipment installations or modifications from concept to commissioning.
• Use data analysis and SPC to identify bottlenecks and variability; implement data‑driven improvements.
• Conduct FMEA to identify risks and reduce operational risk.
• Define and own process control plans; set up in‑process measurement and PCPs/CCPs; monitor SPC parameters.
• Perform process capability studies to predict trends and stabilize day‑to‑day operations.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Participate in selection/evaluation of equipment and tools with a focus on productivity and cost efficiency.
