Job summary

Schreiber Foods is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to optimize upstream dairy processes, including blending, standardization, heat treatment, filtration, and sanitation. You will work with cross-functional teams to improve process capability, yield, and throughput while maintaining strict food safety standards.

The role is based in Mount Vernon, MO, with up to 10% travel. A relocation bonus plus relocation package are offered for eligible candidates, along with ESOP and generous 401(k)

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, Chemical/Process preferred.
• 5+ years of engineering experience is implied by Senior level.
• Experience with fluid processing and HACCP/ GMP/ QMS knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day process engineering support for beverage production, focusing on efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
• Develop and drive strategies for processing line capability, capacity, and optimization.
• Design and implement yield improvements, reduce waste, and streamline operations while ensuring food safety.
• Collaborate with Operations Excellence and Data Science teams to leverage data for optimization.
• Lead or assist equipment installations/modifications from concept to commissioning to maximize output and minimize downtime.
• Perform process capability studies and predict trends to meet customer specifications.
• Support capital projects: scoping, budgeting, scheduling, downtime risk mitigation, and equipment qualification.
