The candidate should have a successful work history, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work remotely in a home-based environment with travel within North America.

Responsibilities include:

• Knowledge of food safety principles and assessment methods.
• Assess customer needs, meet quality standards, evaluate customer satisfaction, and communicate effectively with audiences of varying size and technical background.
• Work independently and maintain a professional image.
• Use critical thinking to identify solutions to concerns.
• Experience with food quality and food safety management systems.
• Preferably experienced in BRC, FSSC 22000, and SQF sector categories within Food & Beverage, Animal Feed/Pet Food, and Packaging.

Minimum Requirements:

• Lead Auditor certification for GFSI recognized standards (HACCP, etc.).
• Maintain and pursue advancement of audit credentials.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a food-related or bioscience discipline.
• Audit experience: second and/or third-party audits.
• At least 5 years of work experience in food, ingredients, or food packaging industries.
• Extensive travel may be required.
• ISO 9001 experience is preferred.
