Job summary

Bunge in Council Bluffs, IA is hiring a Lab Technician to ensure quality specifications are met in a soybean crush and refining operation. The role works a 12-hour rotating schedule (7-7), with day and night shifts.

You will perform analytical tests on raw ingredients, in-process and finished products, enter data into QA databases, and help maintain the lab and calibrate equipment. A safety-focused mindset and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of processing or manufacturing experience; lab experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the Employee Safety Involvement plan.
• Maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
• Perform analytical tests on raw ingredients, in-process, and finished products.
• Enter analysis data into QA databases.
• Assist in identifying and managing HOLD products.
• Identify deviations; report and provide accurate information promptly.
• Prepare testing solutions, calibrate equipment, and maintain laboratory.
• Support the site in food safety culture and regulatory compliance.
