Job summary

Miniat in Chicago, IL is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead the quality laboratory, ensure compliant testing and data integrity, and drive continuous improvement across methods, equipment, and processes. You will partner with FSQA, Operations, Maintenance, and external labs to ensure timely product-release support and strong quality systems.

The role requires strong leadership, GMP/ HACCP knowledge, and experience with LIMS and data controls.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, food science, biological science, or a related scientific field.
At least five years of progressively responsible laboratory or quality-control experience with leadership.
Knowledge of laboratory methods, calibration, data integrity, and investigations.
Experience with GMP, HACCP, ISO/IEC 17025-aligned systems, and audits.

Responsibilities

Plan daily laboratory workload, staffing, schedules, and timecard administration.
Lead laboratory employees, manage training, competency, and development plans.
Maintain procedures, records, and audit readiness; manage supplies and budget.
Oversee testing, review results, and handle out-of-specification findings and CAPA.
Maintain LIMS, monitor KPIs, and support product development and release.
