Job summary

Community FoodBank of New Jersey seeks a Community Health and Nutrition Manager to lead the Food is Medicine program and nutrition policy work. You will oversee medically tailored groceries and meals, support healthcare partnerships, and expand nutrition initiatives across CFBNJ’s network.

The role requires RD/RDN credentials, 3–5 years of leadership in outreach, and the ability to build statewide collaborations while managing diverse stakeholders. A vehicle and flexible schedule are beneficial.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years leading a community outreach team with program or project management.
• 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• BS in Nutritional Science/Dietetics or related field.
• RDN credential required.
• Bi-lingual skills a plus.
• Experience expanding nutrition programs with large populations or statewide.
• Experience with food insecurity or diet-related public health.

Responsibilities

• Lead FiM program planning, implementation, evaluation, and grant compliance.
• Oversee FiM services: medically tailored groceries/meals, produce prescriptions, food farmacies.
• Develop and review FiM nutrition specs for sourcing operations.
• Identify opportunities to expand FiM via healthcare partnerships and grants.
• Oversee Nutrition Policy implementation across CFBNJ.
• Monitor nutrition inventory trends; advise Food Sourcing team.
• Provide Nutrition Policy training for partner networks.
• Support CFBNJ funding efforts and financial reporting for programs.
• Build strategic partnerships to expand nutrition programs.
• Contribute to a dietetic internship program development.
• Integrate health/nutrition strategies into marketing, advocacy and healthcare quality.
