Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a full-time Food Service Cook at the Texas Civil Commitment Center in Littlefield, TX. You will prepare facility meals according to pre-planned menus, following MTC and TCCO directives, and maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen area.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, six months of food service experience, a valid Texas food handler certificate, and 18+ years of age; drivers license with acceptable record if required.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months’ experience in food service preparation required.
• Must have valid food handler’s certificate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A valid driver license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook quantity of food required according to menu and number of clients.
• Maintain kitchen equipment in orderly workable condition. Ensure work area is safe, clean, and sanitary at all times.
• Maintain accountability of kitchen tools.
• Prepare foods as directed for special facility functions and visitors.
• Assist in instructing clients assigned to food services in the safe, hygienic method of preparing and serving appetizing appealing meals.

What you’ll do:

• Must have valid food handler’s certificate.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A valid driver license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
