Job summary

The Marzetti Company is seeking a warehouse associate in Luverne, AL to receive, store and ship raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods. You will ensure perishable items remain quality maintained and that production areas are supplied to sustain uninterrupted operations.

Responsibilities include operating lifting equipment, conducting safety checks, scanning and logging materials, and supporting periodic inventories.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain industrial truck operating certification.
• Communicate effectively—verbally and in writing—to employees and Management
• Basic mechanical aptitude, computer use knowledge and good math skills are required.
• 1-2 years experience in operating hi-lo, fork truck, power jack and shrink wrap equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in temperatures as low as -5 degrees.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, operates, and maintains powered and non-powered lifting equipment.
• Ensures receipt of raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods.
• Replenishes supplies to production areas as needed.
• Loads shipments ensuring all food safety requirements have been met.
• Unloads inbounds ensuring all food safety requirements have been met.
• Unloads bulk inbounds ensuring all food safety requirements have been met.
• Warehouses raw materials, packaging and finished goods safely in designated areas.
• Properly scans materials and records on warehouse forms.
• Inspects finished goods for correct and/or missing lot code and count.
• Shrink wraps finished product according to specifications.
• Generates shipping labels and applies to wrapped product.
• Reconciles production by comparing scans to packaging counts per skid.
• Rotates materials upon receipt and when returning to storage.
• Ensures proper labeling of packaging, materials and finished goods.
• Maintains cleanliness, safety standards and productivity.
• Complies with quality, food safety and HAACP programs; adheres to standards.
• Signs in/out carriers and completes necessary paperwork.
• Assists management with inventories (daily, monthly, quarterly, year-end).
