Job summary

BIL JAC FOODS INC is seeking a Receiving Coordinator to ensure accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of all inbound materials used in our food manufacturing facility.

You will coordinate with QA, warehouse, and purchasing teams, enter transactions in the ERP/WMS, and uphold FIFO/FEFO practices while maintaining records and COAs. A 2+ year background in receiving or logistics in a regulated environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, Sage or Oracle).
• Knowledge of FDA regulations, GMPs and food safety requirements.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or logistics experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing or regulated environments preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify inbound shipments against orders and docs.
• Inspect materials for quantity, quality, temperature, damage, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with QA to hold, release, or address quality concerns.
• Enter receiving transactions into ERP/WMS accurately.
• Maintain inventory records and assist with audits and cycle counts.
• Label and organize materials using FIFO/FEFO.
• Communicate shortages, discrepancies, and supplier issues to Purchasing.
• Schedule delivery appointments with carriers and suppliers as needed.
• Ensure proper storage and movement of materials in warehouse and production areas.
• Maintain receiving logs, COAs, temperature records, and documentation.
• Support FDA/USDA/GMP/SQF/BRC compliance and food safety programs.
• Monitor dock activities for safe loading/unloading.
