Job summary

WM B REILY & COMPANY INC in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Material Handler I to operate forklift equipment safely within the manufacturing facility and distribution center, ensuring timely receipt, production, and shipment of quality products.

You will perform inventory transactions using the scanning system, conduct monthly cycle counts, and support GMP and HACCP standards to maintain food safety and regulatory compliance. Prior warehouse experience preferred; on-site role in Knoxville.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of forklift and/or warehouse experience.
• Scan gun usage, forklift certification, basic math and inventory skills.
• Good communication, time management, and ability to follow rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to receive, handle, and store product.
• Perform vehicle safety checks and report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Ensure all equipment is stored at the end of shift.
• Utilize the scanning system to create accurate locations and perform accurate inventory transactions.
• Inspect inbound materials and products for damages, defects, and discrepancies; report issues to Quality and Leadership.
• Conduct monthly cycle counts and inventory of receiving area.
• Read and follow instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and keep exits clear.
