Job summary

Royal Farms in Virginia Beach is hiring a Customer Service Associate to support the store leadership team with food service, POS transactions, and everyday store upkeep.

You will greet customers, answer questions, stock shelves, prepare made-to-order items, handle fuel transactions, and help maintain cleanliness and safety on shift.

This role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with flexible weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to learn and follow all Royal Farms safety processes and procedures.
• Preferred: Prior experience in food service and/or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers, uphold high service standards, anticipate customer needs, and demonstrate product knowledge.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries about merchandise and assist with product selection.
• Operate the register, scan and bag items, manage payment methods, activate fuel and gift cards, and balance drawer at shift end.
• Follow all ID verification laws when selling age-restricted products such as alcohol or tobacco.
• Prepare made-to-order food and beverages per recipes or customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and speed.
• Restock products and inspect expiration codes, maintaining a fully stocked store.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, report unsafe conditions, and follow safety procedures.
