Weber, Inc. is seeking a Design Engineer II to lead mechanical design from ideation through product launch for food industry equipment, leveraging SolidWorks and hygienic design principles.

You will mentor other designers, collaborate with Electrical, Fluid, Controls and Safety teams, and provide clear drawings and DFMEA/FEA analyses to support manufacturing and customer requirements.

Competenze

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of Design Engineering experience in the Food Industry preferred.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and 2D/3D CAD.
• Knowledge of hygienic design and packaging.

Mansioni

• Create mechanical designs using hygienic design principles for food industry equipment solutions.
• Create manufacturing detail drawings (SI) and equipment layouts.
• Conduct analyses and DFMEA.
• Build and test proof of concept prototypes.
• Support modification projects on installed customer equipment.
• Maintain technical machine documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors on design requirements.
• Mentor and train other design engineers.
