Job summary

Harvest Hope Food Bank in South Carolina seeks a Food Sourcing and Acquisition Specialist to expand the donor network, secure food and product donations, and build partnerships with retailers, manufacturers, and distributors.

You will travel across the HHFB footprint, collaborate with Operations and Procurement, and report on donor activity to help ensure timely, efficient distribution to 400 partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years related experience in customer relations or the food industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bi-lingual communication preferred.
• Excellent communications, interpersonal and customer service skills; comfortable with public speaking.
• Ability to travel across entire HHFB footprint.

Responsibilities

• Develop donor solicitation strategies and cultivate new donors.
• Increase pounds per donation and donation frequency.
• Coordinate with Operations to optimize transportation and logistics.
• Provide monthly, quarterly and annual donor reports.
• Develop donor recognition programs and awards.
• Oversee product recall communications and processes.
• Establish donor tracking, reporting and acknowledgments.
• Collaborate with Food Procurement to meet inventory needs.
• Coordinate with Warehouse to manage shipments and reduce waste.
• Manage Agency Store Donation Program and related trainings.
• Host industry visits to showcase HHFB's mission.
• Other duties as assigned.
