Full-time/part-time: Part-time, Monday-Friday, less than 20 hours a week
Starting Wage: $20/hr.
Summary
The Food Donation Coordinatoris responsible forcultivating, managing, and expanding relationships with community food donors, vending partners, and supporting organizations to ensure consistent, high-quality food donations that support New Life Center’s mission. This role serves as the primary relationship manager for food donation partnerships and oversees coordination of food donationlogistics, communication, scheduling, and stewardship. The Food Donation Coordinator helps maximize donated food resources, strengthen community collaboration, and support efficient food supply systems for dining service operations. This position requires strong relationship management, organizational skills, logistical coordination, and alignment with New Life Center’s Christ-centered mission of serving individuals experiencing homelessness and hardship.

Essential Functions
Essential Function 1: Community Partner and Donor Relationship Management
- Build,maintain, and strengthen partnerships with grocery stores, restaurants, food distributors, churches, community organizations, and individual food donors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all food donation relationships.
- Regularly communicate with partners to coordinate donations, schedules, needs, and stewardship.
- Identifyand pursue new food donation opportunities within the community.
- Represent New Life Center professionally and missionally in all donor and community interactions.
- Ensure partners feel valued through consistent communication, gratitude, and relationship development.
Essential Function 2: Food Donation Coordination and Logistics
- Coordinate food donation pickups, deliveries, and scheduling.
- Work collaboratively with the Dining Services Manager and kitchen staff to align incoming donations with operational needs.
- Safelyload, transport, and unload donated food.
- Ensuretimelyand dependable pick-ups that build confidence with community partners.
- Assistwith receiving and organizingdonatedproductupon arrival.
- Monitor donationflowto maximize usability and reduce waste.
Essential Function 3: Administrative Oversight
- Maintainaccuraterecords of donor contacts, donation schedules, and partnership activity.
- Ensure proper documentation of all food donations.
- Assistleadership with forecasting food donation needs andidentifyingsupply gaps.
Essential Function 4: Food Safety and Compliance
- Support compliance with food safety guidelines related to donated goods.
- Maintain proper storage temperatures.
- Follow food safety regulations and organizational procedures during transportation and handling.
- Monitor donated food for quality and usability.
Essential Function 5: Vehicle and Equipment Care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of New Life Center vehicles used for pick-ups.
- Report maintenance concerns promptly.
- SafelyoperateNew Life Center vehicles whilerepresentingthe organization professionally.
Essential Function 6: Volunteer and Guest Support
- Assistin directing volunteers and guests.
- Promote a welcoming and organized experience for volunteers and guests.
- Provideinstructionon safe food handling and storage.
Essential Function 7: Mission Alignment
- Reflect and uphold New Life Center's Christian mission, values, and culture.
- Help communicate the impact of food partnerships on guest care and organizational outcomes.
- Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and integrity in all interactions.

Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience in delivery,logistics, food service, or warehouse operations.
- Experience building relationships with community organizations or volunteers.
- Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling practices.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
- Ability to pass a pre-employmentdrug test and background check.
- Mustpossessa valid driver’s license,maintain an acceptable driving recordin accordance withthe organization’s insurance carrier requirements, and provide proof of insurance, asrequiredfor the performance of job duties.
