Job summary

Food Connect is seeking a reliable Driver/Courier to transport food donations and meals in Lehigh County, PA. As an Independent Contractor, you will help in hunger relief by picking up food from local restaurants and delivering to community shelters and seniors' homes. Ideal candidates must have a valid driver's license, a cargo van or sprinter van, current auto insurance, and interpersonal skills. The role offers flexible hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license.
• Own a Cargo Van or Sprinter Van.
• Current auto insurance.
• Own a smartphone.
• Live in the Lehigh Valley area (or surrounding counties).
• Pass an MVR check (Motor Vehicle Record).
• Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Transport food donations and meal deliveries to various locations.
• Pick up prepared food from local restaurants.
• Deliver resources to community shelters and homes of vulnerable seniors.

Location Drop offs: Pickup and deliveries in Lehigh Valley- Carbon and Monroe Counties

Time: 9:00am- 12:00pm, Monday through Friday

We need compassionate, civic-minded individuals with strong interpersonal skills to join our team and help support food rescue efforts and home deliveries.

What Your Day Will Look Like as an Independent Contractor with Food Connect:

As a Food Connect Independent Contractor, your busy day may take you from picking up prepared food from a local restaurant and delivering much-needed resources to a community shelter to picking up non-perishable food boxes to drop them off at the homes of vulnerable seniors. By partnering with us, you will be on the front lines of hunger relief efforts and significantly impact the community.

Driver Requirements:

• 18 years or older
