Job summary

Price Chopper in Latham, NY is seeking team members to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service in the food court. The role supports training, scheduling and inventory control while overseeing staff and ensuring sanitation compliance.

You may assist with cooking large quantities and must understand recipes and ingredient formulas used in food court operations. Excellent communication and a customer-first mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic Literacy.
• Basic Computer Skills.

Responsibilities

• Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Responsible for smiling, making eye contact and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.
• Responsible for sampling and suggestive selling. End each customer transaction with a “Thank You”.
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
• Oversee day-to-day operation of the food court area including training, scheduling and inventory control.
• Assist with preparing and cooking mass quantities of food for finishing cooks according to required quantities.
• Thorough knowledge of recipes and ingredient formulas used in food court areas.
• Ensure associates adhere to company and state sanitation policies and procedures.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Maintain Cold case logs, hot food logs and cooling logs per store policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies.
