Job summary

Timewise, a Shell Mobility & Convenience partner, seeks a Category Manager - Food Categories to lead prepared foods and deli ranges across Texas stores. You will drive category strategy, optimize assortment, pricing, promotions, and manage supplier relationships to deliver profitable convenience food offerings.

Collaborate with Operations, Innovation, and Private Label teams to improve assortment performance and customer experience, translating plans into actionable execution with store teams.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
• Experience in category management or buying in convenience retail or multi-site fresh food.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability in assortment, pricing, promotions, forecasting, supplier negotiations.
• Understanding of perishability, cold-chain distribution, food safety and store preparation constraints.
• Ability to turn insights into executable category plans and influence cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Own annual category plans, sales and profit budgets, forecasts and corrective actions.
• Set assortment, pricing, promotions and merchandising strategy.
• Manage menu and assortment productivity across hot food, grab‑and‑go meals, sandwiches, salads, bakery, dairy and deli.
• Lead supplier business reviews and negotiate terms within delegated authority.
• Work with Supply Chain on ordering parameters, delivery frequency, cold‑chain requirements and shelf availability.
• Partner with Innovation and Private Label on product briefs, pilots and launch decisions.
• Translate category plans into execution requirements for Operations and Space Planning.
• Lead category and post‑promotion reviews and recommend range changes.
• Elevate risks to accountable functions and ensure launch readiness.
