Position Summary

Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing guest service in venue dining areas and catering functions. The ideal candidate must be personable and capable of working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The supervisor will assist Food and Beverage Managers with projects such as training, inventory management, and coordinating special events.

The Food and Beverage Supervisor must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work scheduled events as needed.

This role offers an hourly rate of $21.25.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the serving of meals and direct guests in all venues.
  • Supervise beverage service, including alcoholic beverages.
  • Check guests' IDs to verify minimum age requirements for alcohol purchase.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and encourage the team to do the same.
  • Ensure equipment is operational and clean before events.
  • Recognize visibly intoxicated guests and take appropriate action to cut off alcohol.
  • Enforce policies and procedures for staff and guests.
  • Practice sound HR skills, including employee relations, coaching, counseling, and HR documentation.
  • Assist management with training, inventory, and special events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment, or relevant education.
  • Ability to supervise others effectively.
  • Strong communication skills in English, respectful and clear.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in busy environments.
  • Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by law.
  • Responsible cash handling skills.
  • Basic math skills related to POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory management.
